Nelson Submits Signatures for Republican Primary Ballot
FULTON, S.D. (February 18, 2014) – Stace V. Nelson announced today that his campaign submitted to the South Dakota Secretary of State petitions containing more than 2,650 signatures requesting his name be placed on the ballot as an official candidate for the office of US Senator. His campaign noted the vast majority of signatures were gathered by volunteers. Once a sufficient number of nominating petition signatures have been verified (1,955) by the Secretary of State, Nelson will be the first Republican candidate for U.S. Senate to qualify for a position on the South Dakota Republican primary ballot.
The South Dakota Republican Primary will be held on Tuesday, Jun. 3, 2014.
