Why I Support Stace Nelson for US Senate

Drew Dennert and Stace Nelson

I first met Stace Nelson in February 2012, when I was serving as a legislative page at the State Capitol. At first he was just 1 out of the 70 members of the State House, but shortly after I arrived he caught my eye, and I started paying closer attention. I realized that he wasn’t just another politician. Stace was different. He was someone who day in and day out did his very best to represent the people of South Dakota with respect and honesty.

I saw the way he voted and the way he spoke in front of the State House in a fearless way that didn’t mince words. A way that clearly said to everyone listening that he was there to serve the people of South Dakota and to do his very best, not to represent the status quo or his party’s leadership. A way that cared more about people like me than the deep pocketed lobbyist watching from the balcony.

Stace is someone who will always follow his Conservative principles, while keeping his constituents at the for front of every vote he casts.

Next year South Dakota will have a decision to make. A decision to send someone to Washington who will represent more of the same, or someone who will bring honesty and change to Washington! Someone who will continue to spend us in to debt, or someone who will tirelessly work to reduce government spending and get us on track to a balanced budget!

We need more people like Stace Nelson who will always fight for the truth and stand for principle! I am happy to support Stace Nelson for U.S Senate, and will be doing my best at ensuring that South Dakota becomes part of the solution and not part of the problem!

I am happy to #StandWithStace ~ Drew Dennert

Stace Nelson Announces Run for U.S. Senate

Posted by Travis on August 18, 2013

Dozens of well-wishers and enthusiastic supporters turn out for Stace Nelson’s official announcement. He’s in the race for U.S. senate. And his fans couldn’t be happier.

They welcomed Nelson to thunderous applause and cheered him on throughout his announcement.

“South Dakotans and Americans deserve to know where their candidates, their public servants stand on the issues. Now, granted, not everybody is going to agree with me. And that’s why politicians avoid telling people where they stand on the issues. I’m not a politician, I’m a public servant. And I realize my wife and I don’t always agree 100 percent of the time but what matters is that people know that I’m an honest public servant, and that I will always tell them where I stand on the issues.”

Representative Stace Nelson Joins U.S. Senate Race

Posted by Travis on August 14, 2013

South Dakota State Representative Stace Nelson (R) will compete for the Republican party’s nomination in the race for South Dakota’s open U.S. Senate seat.

“As a good South Dakotan, as a Marine veteran, as a dad, as a grandpa, I can’t sit by and watch the same mistakes our country has made in the past of sending these same pragmatic, professional politicians to D.C.”
